Administration

Office Manager

We are looking for an office manager to be an assistant to rPath's executive team and help support the company operations by maintaining office systems.

Responsibilities include:

  • Administrative assistant to Company executives
  • Provides benefits administration, payroll and travel & expense support.
  • Provides administrative support to executive management.
  • Maintains employee information for the company and for benefits purposes by entering and updating employment and benefits status-change data.
  • Provides administrative support by entering, formatting, and printing information; organizing work; answering the telephone; relaying messages; maintaining office resources and supplies.
  • Welcomes new employees to the organization by assisting with new employee orientation.
  • Maintains office services by organizing office operations and procedures; designing filing systems; performing other clerical functions.
  • Welcomes visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.
  • Directs visitors by maintaining employee and department directories; giving instructions.
  • Maintains safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Contributes to team by accomplishing related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Energetic, personable, dependable, team player, self starter
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

Engineering

Senior Engineering

rPath, Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineer to join our team. We're changing the face of computing; for that we need your help.

We're looking for an engineer to join our development team and help us take the concepts of distributed source code control and apply them to systems management. This position is located in Raleigh, NC - if you're not local, you must be willing to relocate.

This position also requires occasional travel. Still interested? You'll need to be able to say "yes" to the following:

  • Strong design sense, applied to complex software
  • Sufficient OS-level experience for wise tradeoffs when optimizing
  • Proven experience shipping code based on Python or other dynamic programming language
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
  • Works and communicates well in a tightly-knit team environment
  • Experience as the technical leader of a small, focused team
  • Masters (or equivalent experience) in computer science or engineering, physics, math, or a similarly analytic field

In addition, the following are highly desirable:

  • Experience with test-centric, continuous integration development
  • Comfortable working with the open source community

Sales

Inside Sales

We are seeking a strong team player for a strategic inside sales role. The ideal candidate will excel at qualifying and developing relationships with prospects over the phone.

Responsibilities include:

  • Make outbound calls to targeted prospects to identify and develop opportunities.
  • Schedule online product demonstrations with qualified prospects
  • Able to understand a complex product and talk confidently to technology executives
  • Actively contribute to refining the sales process based on prospect interaction.
  • Document conversation details in a CRM system using a defined process

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelors Degree
  • At least 1 years sales experience, preferably in a B2B or technology environment
  • Strong ability to actively listen and determine prospect's needs
  • Hands-on outgoing self-starter
  • Strong attention to detail

Outside Account Executive

We are looking for an outside account executive on the east coast and west coast.  On the east coast we are looking for a person in Boston, New York, Washington, DC or Raleigh. On the west coast we are looking for someone located in the Bay Area.  We are looking for a sales representative who is not afraid to help clients change their minds about the status quo. Ideal candidates will possess the following qualifications:

  • 7 to 10+ years outside sales experience of technology-based business solutions
  • Successful track record of selling to enterprises required
  • Understanding of BOTH application lifecycle management and enterprise systems management a huge plus
  • Excellent understanding of evolving data center and application architectures
  • Experience selling business value to CIOs, CTOs, and I.T. strategy executives to the point of being able to create budget where a budget may not have existed before
  • Extensive network of contacts and relationships within enterprises where strategic I.T. decisions are made on the east coast
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree required
