Mike Torto Chief Executive Officer
Mike Torto joins rPath as a three-time CEO with 20+ years of experience in enterprise software. As CEO of rPath, he leads the company's mission to dramatically reduce the cost and complexity of enterprise application delivery and system management. Prior to rPath, Mike served as CEO of Centive, a leader in on-demand sales compensation software, which was acquired by Xactly Corp. Before Centive, Mike served as president and CEO of InCert Software where he oversaw the company's growth and subsequent acquisition by Geodesic Systems. Previously, Mike was president and CEO of Swan International Inc, which he led to a successful IPO on the European EASDAQ. Earlier in Mike's career, he served in executive-level marketing roles for Interleaf, Intersolv and AICorp. Mike graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor's degree in mass communications and marketing from Emerson College in Boston.

Erik Troan Chief Technology Officer
Prior to founding rPath, Erik served in multiple roles at Red Hat including Vice President of Product Engineering for several years as well as the Senior Director of Marketing and chief developer for Red Hat Software. During his tenure with the company Erik was responsible for leading development for Red Hat Linux, RPM, and Anaconda. He managed a multimillion-dollar budget, participated in two public stock offerings and assisted in acquiring and integrating nine other companies. Erik has co-authored two editions of Linux Application Development. At rPath he is responsible for all aspects of product design and implementation and for the company's IT infrastructure. He holds BS degrees in Computer Science and Computer Engineering from North Carolina State University and a Masters degree in Economics from the University of Virginia. Since May 2007, Erik also serves on the Board of Directors for Digium, Inc.

Brett Adam Vice President of Engineering
Brett has over twenty years of experience in the software industry including CEO and CTO level positions as well as senior level positions in software architecture, engineering, product management, marketing, sales and corporate development. Prior to joining rPath, Brett served as CTO and Vice President of Engineering for Versata, Inc., a provider of business rules management products for enterprise application development which was acquired by Trilogy, Inc. in 2006. A serial entrepreneur, Brett has founded three technology companies including Verve, Inc., an early leader in the embedded business process engine space, which he brought to profitability and sold in late 2000 without external investment. Brett studied Computer Science and Psychology at the University of Melbourne, Australia.

Jake Sorofman Chief Marketing Officer
Jake is a seasoned software marketing executive with a strong product strategy and communications background. Previously, he was SVP of marketing and business development for JustSystems, the largest ISV in Japan and a leader in XML technologies. Before that, Jake was VP of product marketing with Mercury Interactive (now part of HP Software), where he was responsible for the Systinet product line. He joined Mercury though Mercury's $105 million acquisition of Systinet Corporation. Before Mercury, Jake led marketing for two WebSphere products at IBM Software Group, which he joined through the acquisition of Venetica. Prior to Venetica, Jake was director of product marketing with Documentum, Inc. (now part of EMC), which he joined through the acquisition of eRoom Technology. Jake has a BA in english and political science from University of New Hampshire and an MBA from the McCallum Graduate School of Business at Bentley College, where he was an American Marketing Association George Hay Brown Scholar.

Dave Welker Vice President of Finance & Operations
Dave has twenty two years of professional experience, with ten as an entrepreneur and twelve in public accounting positions. His public accounting experience includes early stage, middle market and Fortune 500 companies in information technology, life science and manufacturing disciplines. He has extensive knowledge of management, operations, finance, accounting, investor relations, human resources, contracts, sales, marketing, inventory control and administration. Before joining rPath, Dave held management positions as Vice President of Finance & Operations at several RTP headquartered software companies. Dave has also held management positions at KPMG, Deloitte & Touche and Price Waterhouse. Dave is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in North Carolina and Ohio and holds a BS degree in Business Administration and Accounting from The University of Akron.
